Recycling
From 1 July 2023, we will be introducing the Think Twice waste separation at source programme, which is linked to our new Woodstock Mini-material Recovery Facility (Mini-MRF).
This free door-to-door dry recycling collection service requires your participation in contributing meaningfully towards responsible waste management for sustainability.
What can be recycled?
Cannot be recycled:
- Disposable nappies.
- Wet, dirty or contaminated items.
- Chemicals, paint, motor oil containers, acids or solvents.
- Plastic wrap, dog food and cement bags.
Can be recycled:
- Glass: rinsed bottles, containers and jars.
- Plastics: all bags and rinsed bottles, tubs, lids, caps etc.
- Polystyrene: Rinsed tubs and “foam” cups, take-away containers and packaging.
- Metal: rinsed food tins, cans and scrap metal.
- Rinsed milk and juice cartons.
- Aluminium foil.
- Clothing or shoes.
- Paper: flattened and folded cardboard, any dry and clean paper, newspaper and magazines.
Schedule
From 1 July 2025, Recycling will be collected EVERY week, on the same day as your regular waste.
