Get Ready to Ride! The Cape Town Cycle Tour is Back
The annual Cape Town Cycle Tour is just around the corner, taking place on Sunday, 9 March 2025. This iconic event, known as the “World’s Largest Timed Cycle Race,” attracts thousands of cyclists each year to participate in the challenging 109km route.
Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, the Cycle Tour is a must-see event. This year, they’re also hosting a 42km short route starting at the Grand Parade and finishing in Riebeek Street, making it accessible to a wider range of riders.
Important Notes for Residents:
- Road Closures: Be aware that road closures will be in effect from Thursday, 6 March until Sunday, 9 March at 16:00. This will impact various areas around the city, so be sure to plan your travel accordingly.

A Paw-sitive Message:
We’re also excited to see the SPCA involved in this year’s Cycle Tour, promoting their important message: “Chains are for bikes, not dogs.” It’s a great reminder to be mindful of animal welfare, even amidst the excitement of the event. For more info, click the picture.
