Logging a C3 Service Request
In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it’s easy to overlook the small details that contribute to our community’s well-being. But did you know that the City of Cape Town provides an incredibly helpful tool for residents to log service requests? It’s a simple way to make a real difference in our neighborhood. Click here to access the portal and start reporting!
This week, we were reminded of the power of this tool by one of our dedicated Tamboerskloof residents. For years, she and her husband have been quietly logging clogged drains, streetlight outages, and other issues they encounter during their walks. They even go a step further, reporting discarded syringes to TBHIV Care, demonstrating a deep commitment to our community’s safety and cleanliness.
“Report faults!” she urges fellow residents. In her experience, the City of Cape Town has been remarkably responsive, particularly when there’s a risk of personal injury. She’s been consistently impressed with their quick action, and we’re fortunate to have such an efficient Councillor who supports these efforts.
We often take for granted the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our neighborhood running smoothly. Our community is incredibly lucky to have residents who faithfully log these incidents, ensuring that problems are addressed promptly.
To illustrate the effectiveness of this system, take a look at these examples: missing stormwater grids, like the one opposite 102 New Church Street, were reported and replaced within just one or two days. This rapid response highlights how our collective efforts can lead to tangible improvements in our environment.
By actively reporting faults, we can all contribute to a safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable Tamboerskloof. Let’s follow the example of our dedicated residents and make our voices heard!
